Frequently Asked Questions
Is the price per person?
Yes, and it includes an appetizer, entree and dessert in some form or fashion. Sometimes one portion of the meal is added in without being taught in the essence of time.
Does the price include drinks?
No, but we have a cash bar for beer and wine.
Do we do BYOB?
No.
How can we pay for drinks?
Cash or credit card
Do I need to bring anything?
Just empty stomachs.
Will we eat what we make?
Yes, and there may be leftovers and we have disposable containers to take home.
How are the cook stations set up?
There are 9 cooking stations in the school with two people to one burner. These are collaborative effort classes, where you will be sharing cook tops, but will have your own space to prep.
Are children allowed?
We recommend that children be 13 or older and MUST be accompanied by an adult. The classes are adults only for the most part, since we have a bar with drinks available for purchase. In addition to drinking, there are often adult conversations ongoing throughout the class that can be considered inappropriate for some kids.
Can I book a group or private event?
Yes. If you have under 8 people, you can book a public class and we recommend you come early to sit near each other. If you have 8 or more, you must book a private event, as larger groups will take away from the overall flow of the public classes for the rest of the students. Click here to learn more about private event rentals.
If I bring a group, do we get to sit together?
When you arrive, you can sit near each other if you arrive a few minutes early, as you can sit down in a row together.
What if I have never cooked before?
Your level of comfort with cooking does not matter whatsoever. We go over the fundamentals of cooking at every class, guiding you through how to cut an onion, and so on.
What if I have allergies?
If it is a serious allergy, please read the description fully to see if there are any known allergens before booking the class. If you think that is easily enough changed or omitted, please add in the notes section when booking the class that you would like to have a GF, DF, vegetarian, etc, option. Please understand that this is NOT a certified gluten free facility and accommodations may only be made for sensitivities.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, you can purchase them here. This is a digital gift card. No physical gift card will be sent. Recipients will receive gift card codes via email. Please ensure that the recipient (whether it be the purchaser or recipient) receives the email, it may go to spam or junk mail and should be double checked. Gift codes can only be redeemed online. How are classes set up?
You will work at a station with one other person, and be eating everything that is made by yourself and your partner, as well as anything passed out by the instructor. We will provide you with the recipes for all of the menu items. Classes are hands-on, requiring full participation. You will practice techniques that are demonstrated by the instructor.
How long are the classes?
Classes are typically 2 hours long. Some end a little early, and some a little late, depending on the attentiveness of the students.
