Sourdough 101 Workshop
Always wanted to bake your own sourdough but felt intimidated by the starter, the schedule, or the recipe? This hands-on 3-hour workshop demystifies it all. In a relaxed, beginner-friendly setting, you’ll learn everything you need to bake a beautiful artisan loaf at home with confidence.
Working at your own station, you’ll get hands-on with the full process – feeding and caring for your starter, mixing, folding and shaping, baking, and plenty of taste testing along the way (there will be goodies!). You’ll get to know the tools of the trade like a banneton, bowl scraper, and lame for scoring, and you’ll learn a simple countdown rhythm for fitting a weekend bake into a busy life.
Best of all, you’ll head home with everything you need to keep baking:
- Your very own sourdough starter
- A banneton (proofing basket)
- Ready-to-bake dough for your first loaf at home
- A second batch of dough you mixed and shaped yourself in class
- A freshly baked loaf to enjoy right away — that’s three loaves of bread in all!
- A beginner sourdough recipe
- Handouts with timelines and step-by-step instructions
- A starter shopping list to stock your kitchen
No experience necessary – just bring your curiosity and an appetite for warm, crusty bread.
